Episode 113: Pediatric Presentations of Lyme Disease

Somer DelSignore, NP

Cindy Kennedy, FNP, is joined by fellow Nurse Practitioner Somer DelSignore for a discussion of pediatric presentations of Lyme disease. Somer, who has more than 15 years of experience and extensive training in pediatric integrative medicine, discusses her commitment to an integrative treatment approach to afflicted patients of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.

Somer DelSignore, A Hudson Valley Favorite Doc, is a nationally board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric Lyme disease expert. She is a skilled practitioner whose interests and expertise lie in the care of children with complex chronic disorders, including those with Lyme disease and other tick-borne co-infections, infectious triggered autoimmune encephalopathies including PANS and PANDAS.

Somer received her BS from Queens University in Charlotte, N.C., and MS degree from The University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in pediatric critical care.

She completed residencies at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Penn State Childrens in Hershey, Pa., and Childrens Medical Center in Dallas, and obtained her board certification in pediatric medicine She studied under Dr. Richard Horowitz and is an active member of ILADS and American Academy of Ozone Therapy.

Somer utilizes the latest medical science and technology to design treatment regimens for the needs of her patients. Somer is a native of North Carolina. She lives with her husband, two very active children and the family dog Riley. When not playing personal taxi driver for her overachieving kids, she enjoys cooking, photography, attempting to play the cello and most outdoor activities that the Hudson Valley has to offer.
